11月4日，据24直播网报道，在WQAM 104.3电台的一档节目中，热火队的记者Ira Winderman强调，球队更衣室内迫切需要一位能够站出来担任领导角色的人物。
Ira Winderman commented, "In a scenario where Haslem were at the helm, the dire 2-5 record would have led to the destruction of multiple vending machines. Adrien Bayo, though a gentle soul, is what the team lacks—a player with the tenacity and ferocity akin to a wild beast. Giannis Antetokounmpo's amiable nature and the youthful experience of Pascal Siakam don't fit the bill for this type of antagonist role. Perhaps, it's Coach Spoelstra himself who's stepping into the shoes of the 'bad guy'."
