11月4日，据24直播网报道，在WQAM电台的104.3频道节目中，热火队的记者Ira Winderman透露，球队更衣室内迫切需要一位勇敢的领袖站出来。
Ira Winderman commented, "In a situation like this, with a dire record of two wins and five losses, Haslem would have undoubtedly thrown a few vending machines to pieces. Adrien Bayo is a gentleman, yet the team requires a fierce and intense player—a 'crazy' kind of presence that every team needs. Giannis Antetokounmpo is amiable, and Patris is still in the early stages of his career, making him too inexperienced to embody this tough persona. Perhaps Erik Spoelstra is attempting to take on the role of the 'bad guy' himself."
